Meva Energy offers its customers a technology that significantly reduces fossil greenhouse gas emissions and lowers the overall climate footprint of their industrial operations.
The business was founded in Sweden and has created an innovative modular gasification technology to generate renewable, synthetic gas that can be used as a low-carbon substitute for fossil-based natural gas within manufacturing sectors, for example paper, metallurgy, wood products and other energy consuming industries. Their compact and modular gasification plants are strategically located at customer&rsquo;s sites where energy is consumed. This decentralised approach minimises transport costs and emissions, promotes energy independence and enhances flexibility to meet specific industrial needs.
Meva Energy offers both Energy Purchase Agreements (EPA) as well as turnkey solutions. Under their EPA model, Meva Energy build, own and operate the renewable energy plants directly at the customer site and the customer simply purchases the energy it generates without the need for upfront investment and operational burden.
Meva Energy&rsquo;s technology converts solid biomass (either waste produced on-site or sourced independently) into a clean, energy-rich biogas, primarily composed of hydrogen, carbon monoxide and methane. In parallel, the process produces biochar, a stable carbon-rich by-product. The gas is used directly by their customers to replace fossil gas in industrial processes. It can also be converted into electricity or combined heat and power via a generator. The biochar serves as a soil enhancer, a permanent carbon sink, or a fossil carbon substitute in metallurgical applications.

The Role
Meva Energy are at a very exciting time in their development. Backed by several impact funds, they are currently at a pivotal scale-up/industrialization phase, moving away from being a pure R&amp;D/product development company towards being an operational cleantech industrial entity with a growing commercial footprint. The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director of Ylem Energy, as Head of Delivery you will be responsible for the full life-cycle of project delivery from initial design development and procurement through to construction delivery and commissioning. This will be for Ylem Energy new build natural gas &ldquo;peaker &ldquo;projects located around the country and connected to 11kv points of connection.
The business&rsquo;s already established project management structure will report to the Head of Delivery. This currently consists of a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and site managers as required. Ylem&rsquo;s business model for delivery of new build projects has been successfully based around Ylem being the Client and main contractor utilising a series of design and construction sub-contractors to deliver the projects. This role will cover a broad spectrum of responsibilities and the successful candidate will need to have the experience and ability to negotiate and manage construction contracts, leading on cost, quality and programme management and delivering these projects to a high standard.
A key responsibility will be control of project budgets and programme, from financial close maintaining cost control and variations and preserving contractor claims will be a core focuses. Building strong relationships with the Project Managers and Project Engineers will be key to achieving this. Similarly, understanding opportunities to expedite progression of the projects, and ensuring contractors understand and achieve programme, and mitigating risks and delays, will also be key.

Requirements

<li>You will have at least 5 years of experience in sales / new business development</li>
<li>Experience in the Battery / BESS sector, ideally for Commercial / C&amp;I scale</li>
<li>Network in key customer segments such as logistical real estate, facilities management, and heavier industries looking to electrify</li>
<li>Bias to action &ndash; you will have a &lsquo;Just f*cking do it!&rsquo; mentality</li>
<li>You must have excellent commercial skills and experience</li>
<li>You are technically proficient &ndash; ability to engage with customers with a solutions-focused approach</li>
<li>Energy and enthusiasm in your communications</li>
<li>You enjoy working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment</li>
<li>You will have a Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in a related field e.g. Business, Engineering etc. or deep experience in the industry over many years</li>
